Liam's Early Arrival

well.... he came!!!.... a whole 4 weeks early and totally unexpected!
Liam was born on sept. 7th at 1:02 pm, weighing in at 5 lbs. 14 oz.

my water broke at 5:00 am and there were no indications that I was close to delivering, what a shock.....especially since Ruby came TEN days late
and even then they had to start me....

Liam's cousin Courtney (born 1 week prior) came to visit him in the hospital...he was probably jealous when she took off to earth that he couldn't wait another month to get here

um...can you say.....MARTY..........i swear no kids will ever look like me

Marty and my mom made signs to welcome us back....

Liam is doing well though, he had some jaundice issues, but they are now resolved after spending some days in the 'fake n bake' bed

labor was tons easier than the first time, thank goodness, and Ruby is coping well and has learned to accept and love her 'baby brother' (the first day she totally ignored him)....

WE SURE DO LOVE OUR NEW ADDITION!!

Bear River Cabin

We took a trip as a little family to Bear River...it was SO nice and relaxing and really, it doesn't get much cuter than this..............

We had a little stormy weather, which was great ...and this was actually a double rainbow...it was beautiful

"Ruth Lake" beautiful and no one around, it was an easy enough hike too for an oversized pregno lad like myself

Ruby wanted to get in...kept begging...
then the anger and cold shock came.....

Ruby's saying "cheese"....and holding her own camera as we took the pic..

3 Scary Stories

1. the other night ruby had her cousin brooks over and they were playing in her room, it got super quiet all a sudden and it worried me....i go in and they were "downing" vitamins by the fist full, out of a costco size bottle (i hadn't locked the lid on tight and it was within reach, ya...whoops) we called poison control since the label said iron overdose could kill....but they told us that they'd of had to eaten 50 or more to be a problem...we weren't so worried until brooks threw up all over ruby's "new room" he had about a 3 pounds of watermelon for dinner so it was a nice color on white carpet! ha! but it came out and they both survived .....furthermore...the vitamins are now high up in a closet...curiosity peaks when there's two...ruby's never tried to eat her own vitamins before...

2. the same night of the vitamin poisoning, ruby was hyped up and would not fall asleep...we cracked her door before we went to bed thinking she was fast asleep......i look out in the hallway a while later, it's nearly 11:00 and i thought i saw a shadow by ruby's door, but i couldn't tell and it was freaking me out, i went to turn on the lamp, marty told me not to that it was nothing, but i could swear something was there, i flip on the light and ruby is standing there like this... (literally)
i jumped about 10 feet and screamed...who knew how long she'd been there, standing still, making that face without saying a word...what a weirdo...
3. we'd just watched a scary movie and were upstairs brushing (and flossing) and i heard a bang on ruby's door....it was after midnight so i knew she couldn't be awake, (mind you-it's still a new house to me and i never watch scary movies, i hate them) so i was scared and made marty quickly open the door in case of a serial killer...he couldn't open it....
ruby had rolled over and kicked the door in her sleep, apparently the floor looked a little more inviting than her bed that night....
