13.1 (FELT like 26.2)

Well, we survived , the Ogden 1/2 marathon! Yeah! Tiff (my sis) and Jim ran it with us. They were our inspiration. Tiff kept me going! It was freezing while we waited for the race to start. The shuttles had us at "line" 1 1/2 hours early! It was a beautiful morning though- the only time during the race that I even noticed the scenery! We were able to keep up a 8:30 minute mile-which for ME is way good, I was just glad to cross the finish line....the last 2 miles were definitely the hardest! It was so hard to keep going....I don't know how people run the full thing! A full marathon used to be a goal of mine but I'm not so sure now. Our kids were there at the end to support us. Megan (my other sis) came over at 4:45 so we could go and brought them to the finish line...she's so great to do that. Lee and Merry (Marty's dad and wife) came to see us finish also, a nice surprise for me! They cheered me on at the last hundred yards or so, Thanks guys!!!

I was sooo sore the next day and several days thereafter, I couldn't walk down stairs or hardly walk at all...and immediately following the race for a couple hours I was just sick...mild heat stroke I presume...

All in all , I don't know if I'd do it again soon, but it was a good accomplishment for me and Marty to do together...way to go babe!

ah! the Sun

A Day at the Park
Marty's Mom was in town for a few days, SO nice to see you Di. We had a great , relaxing time, good thing the park wasn't the highlight of your stay! It was too DANG windy, remember?

Okay, I know my glasses are GINORMOUS, but they are all I had with me in the car ( I think they're my Mom's) Nursing Momma!
Some down-time...

Yet Another...........

We missed you of course Jami B. All the girls went to BYU Women's Conference in Provo (except Michelle and I) then we met up in Park City for dinner and over to Jaimi's "Condo Share". It was really nice and a great get-a-way... Jaimi brought her "BEADS" and we got to pick out bracelet-watches that we wanted to buy, sooo super cute... I will post a picture next time about them because you all will want them ....Jaimi makes and sales them for around $30
Tiff - always the picture taker...

Showing-off the bellies...beautiful!
Sorry, Ingrid-you posed , I snapped.... it was a glorious banana split though wasn't it...?

My Mom was going to go but ended up going to Honduras (sp?) with my Dad... so we missed you too MOM! Thanks for funding the day and trying to make sure we knew how to plan out the details before you left...I know you were worried about us, but we got along just fine...Luvs...
