WATCH PARTY

OPEN HOUSE SEPTEMBER 4TH (THURSDAY)

5:30 TO 7:30 PM

My sis-in-law is coming to my house to sell/show some jewelery and watches she makes with one of her friends..."JA squared" is the name of their little company. So come one, come all...and don't feel obligated to buy...I'm not getting freebies from the production...I've just had alot of people ask about my watch and decided to bring it closer for people to get their hands on. It also makes great birthday or Christmas gifts. The price on the watches ranges from 25 to 35$ and they come in all shapes and sizes and colors, you can mix and match the watch face too with different colors and bands. The other bracelets and such are cheaper and come in a whole slug of designs (plus there will be homemade cookies on-hand). Most of you should be getting something in the mail, but if you didn't get it and don't know where I live-email me, and I'll send you my address. mindusbindus@yahoo.com

Lovely California

You think we'd be 'laked' out by now...but how could we resist seeing the California crew and the beautiful "Lake Almanor". The whole lake is surrounded by evergreens and the water a nice temp. for swimming and skiing. But mostly we like to sit at this dock and eat all kinds of chunky salsas.Three babies were there all close in age...Liam got his share of girly bonding time. Liam, Luci and Lydia...even though there names sound alike they couldn't be more different looking...Luci won by far on the widest bum contest...poor girl. That is a 'Marty' face to a T...Ruby got loads of attention...(especially from her aunt-best friend-Kimby; thanks for letting her be your eternal sidekick-Kim)There is a park conveniently located right near the cabin...Marty's brother David and his wife Vanessa cookin' up a mean enchilada! Finally the produce guy shows up so we can EAT! Thanks farmer Russ!Boxes and bags of beans, peppers, cucumber, tomato, tomatillos, corn, all kinds of berries and peaches...etc...And the best of all...AVOCADO...Diane put this all to use by fryin' up fabulous omelet's each morning...Ruby would only swim if we were headed to the trampoline, she would stay the night on this thing...Ruby enjoyed the animal encounters...And Liam really enjoyed the mud...Honestly , Grandma was his favorite...Thanks Bonion's for making this happen each year!WE...MISS...AND LOVE YOU!!!

Our Annual Lake Powell Get-No-Sleep Trip

It was great this year at the Lake, except for the nightly storms that would roll in and about 2:00 to 3:00 every night (except one) we were hauling our kids and bedding down the stairs in the pitch black - only to cram all of us in the living room of the houseboat..! At least Marty got to come for a couple days this year which didn't happen last summer. Liam really enjoyed the water and Ruby was ecstatic about swimming and floating around by herself which is a BIG improvement from last year... so the kids did great in that aspect...The men went for a "manly" banana ride...it was hilarious to see how "tough" they could act...My Dad had a hay-day trying to tip them...you could see the fire in his eyes.Loved this time of night at Powell, sooo peaceful, before the storms rolled in of course.Jared was the only Anderton boy there, my other two brothers couldn't come. So, who was to drive the boat while Jared skied and my dad was napping? Um, Marty! I guess he DID know how to drive but he just never has because my brothers and dad always do...way to step up to the plate hun!Marty made me ride this freakin tube with him, yeah right! We got some air! About 2 or 3 times and then I was done....I'm not the biggest fan of whip lash...!Not very impressive spray but it was my first run this year...Okay
Not very impressive jump, but hey, it was his first run too... haTrying to decide if he should give it another go.?Caught red-handed with a princess blanket and flower pillow case...ohhh! how cute...as you can see, anything goes at PowellLiam and Courtney chillin'A yearly ritual at Lake Powell, surprised my Dad hasn't been diagnosed with marker poisoning...Someone said I never have pictures of my Mom, well she is the best, I should have a lot more of her...she saved our lives on the way home, we left a day early cuz everyone had had it and wanted their own beds. Our plan was to leave at 6:00 p.m. and usually we leave at noon the following day; but with unexpected complications we didn't pull out of there until 9:00 and it is a 7 hour drive pulling the boat. We didnt' roll into the driveway until 3:30 a.m.! My Mom drove the last leg and she doesn't even remember it, she was in such a DAZE! But we are alive thanks to her!
